Sonny Gray finished second in American League Cy Young voting and is moving to another new team anyway. The right-handed starter agreed to a three-year, $75-million deal Monday with the St. Louis Cardinals after two years with the Minnesota Twins. In the latter year of the abbreviated stint, he carried a 2.79 earned run average in 184 innings.
