Jury in Idaho convicts woman of bank fraud using COVID-19 funds

The following is a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Idaho. BOISE – A federal jury in Boise convicted a Georgia woman Thursday for fraudulently obtaining and misusing a $338,958 Paycheck Protection Program loan that the Small Business Administration (SBA) guaranteed under the Coronavirus Relief Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act. According to court documents and evidence presented at trial, Khadijah X. Chapman, 59, of Atlanta, worked with co-conspirators to falsify financial information and submit several fraudulent applications to financial institutions in Boise and elsewhere...
