Salem voters appear to reject wage tax on slim Oregon Election Day

Tuesday was Oregon’s Election Day, but not everyone in the state had something to vote on this time around. Voters who did receive ballots were mostly weighing in on local bonds, levies and local tax options. In one high-profile issue, voters in Salem appear to have rejected a proposal for a new tax on wages earned within city limits.
