Minot woman killed boyfriend with antifreeze in attempt to gain inheritance, court docs allege

MINOT, N.D. — A Minot woman accused of poisoning her longtime boyfriend with plans to claim his $30 million inheritance did not realize that North Dakota does not recognize common-law marriages, and therefore she would not receive any benefits as the man's common-law wife, according to court documents. Ina Thea Kenoyer, 47, was arrested Monday, Oct. 30, and charged with one count of murder, a Class AA felony, in Ward County District Court.
