Ionia Volunteer Firefighter Killed in Crash While Responding to Fire

(Ionia, IA) -- A volunteer firefighter is dead after a crash as firefighters were responding to a fire. The Iowa State Patrol says a fire truck crashed into a UTV as both vehicles were trying to pass a tractor that was moving slowly. Investigators say the fire truck hit the back of the UTV and ejected the driver, Tony Hoffman.
