A public library in Alabama accidentally added a picture book to a list of potential titles to be removed from its children’s section because the author’s last name is ‘Gay,’ according to the library’s director. ‘Read Me a Story, Stella’ by Marie-Louise Gay was added to a list of books flagged by the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library for ‘sexually explicit content’ due to the keyword ‘gay.’ However, the book is about two siblings reading and building a dog house together.
