NYC Target Store To Close; Theft, Organized Retail Crime To Blame

NEW YORK CITY - Target will close nine U.S. stores next month, including one New York City location, because of overwhelming theft and crime at those locations, the Minneapolis-based retail giant said Tuesday. The other stores that are closing are located in Seattle, Portland, and the San Francisco area. All nine locations will be shuttered on Oct. 21.
