Fetterman is first Senate Democrat to call on Sen. Menendez to resign

U.S. Senator John Fetterman on Saturday became the first Senate Democrat to call on longtime New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez to retire after Menendez was indicted on bribery and other charges. In a statement released this afternoon Fetterman said: “Senator Menendez should resign. He’s entitled to the presumption of innocence under our system, but he is not entitled to continue to wield influence over national policy, especially given the serious and specific nature of the allegations.
