A new high-speed train option for Florida tourists will make the trip between Miami and Orlando about 30 minutes quicker than driving. The $5 billion investment from Brightline and parent company Fortress Investment Group debuted Friday, charging passengers $158 for a round-trip business class ticket and $298 for first-class. The train reportedly reaches speeds of up to 125 mph — fast, but not as fast as high-speed trains in Europe and Asia, some of which top 200 mph in passenger service and 300 mph in testing.
