Georgia Governor Brian Kemp signed an executive order Tuesday declaring a state of emergency in the Peach State due to high inflation, which included temporarily suspending the state’s excise tax on motor and locomotive fuel. The gas tax suspension will go into effect on Wednesday at 12:00 a.m. and will remain in effect until 11:59 p.m. on October 12.
