California Landslide Evacuations
Officials say twelve homes were evacuated in a Los Angeles-area city Saturday night after a major ground shift put them at risk of collapse. Evacuated homes in the city of Rolling Hills Estates are at risk of falling into a nearby canyon. Authorities say other homes had their gas shut off to try to prevent an accident from happening. Officials do not know yet what may have caused the ground shift. The event comes after landslides in another Southern California city halted rail service earlier this year.
