Hundreds of Chattanoogans celebrated Juneteenth on Monday, parading down M.L. King Boulevard before settling at Miller Park for a gala celebrating hip-hop history. Monday marked the city's second official Juneteenth parade, organized by the Unity Group of Chattanooga. "I brought my grandkids so they can see their heritage," parade attendee Victor Turner said. "They can see what slavery was. They can see everything they went through to get us where we are today."
