Michigan State becomes majority owner of Detroit’s historic Fisher Building

DETROIT – Michigan State has made a big move to increase the university’s presence in Detroit. Officials announced Tuesday that MSU will invest in Detroit’s historic Fisher Building to add “another splash of green to the Motor City skyline.” The move makes MSU the majority owner of the building, one of the most recognizable on Detroit’s skyline. The “Golden Tower of the Fisher Building” will be illuminated green for a week to commemorate the occasion.
