SMITHFIELD, RI — One person is dead and others are seriously injured after a car crashed into a Subway sandwich shop in Smithfield Wednesday afternoon, according to multiple reports. The crash occurred at the Subway at the Apple Valley Mall on Putnam Pike, where one of the victims died at the scene, WCVB reported.
