A Memphis federal judge tossed out Tennessee’s controversial Adult Entertainment Act just late last week — calling the state law that could have targeted some drag performers “an unconstitutional restriction on the freedom of speech.” Judge Thomas Parker, a Trump-appointed federal judge from the Western District of Tennessee, ruled the law unconstitutional after a trial in June. He temporarily blocked the law from taking effect on April 1.
