Passenger Killed On I-684 After Vehicle Struck Trees Near Airport

Around 6:20 p.m. on Friday, a 2005 Cadillac Escalade was traveling southbound in Greenwich on I-684, right before the Westchester County Airport exit (Exit 2 ramp), when for unknown reasons, it "veered off the right side of the highway through the grassy roadside and into the wooded area, where it struck multiple trees," according to Connecticut State Police. The driver, a 47-year-old Port Chester resident, was taken by Armonk EMS to Westchester Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
