Trump mocks DeSantis ‘rough opening’ while hosting LIV Golf pro-am

Former President Donald Trump, 76, sneered at Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis Thursday after teeing off for a pro-am round ahead of this weekend’s LIV Golf event at his northern Virginia course.

“I think he had a rough opening,” Trump told reporters, including a NewsNation crew, in his first on-camera comment about the 44-year-old DeSantis’ glitchy campaign kickoff the previous evening.

“I thought [South Carolina Sen.] Tim Scott’s opening was a lot better, obviously, despite the microphone,” the former president added. “DeSantis had a big problem last night. That was not a pretty picture to watch....
