HELENA, Mont. — Gov. Greg Gianforte has signed a law that makes Montana the first state to specifically ban people dressed in drag from reading books to children at public schools and libraries. The legislation is part of a host of efforts aimed at the rights of the LGBTQ+ community in Montana and other states, The Associated Press reported.
