CNN's prime time viewership fell below that of Newsmax last week, marking a significant drop in the network's ratings after it hosted a town hall event with former President Donald Trump that earned the ire of its largely left-leaning viewer base.
On Friday, the network brought in an average of 335,000 total viewers between 8 and 11 p.m., more than 20,000 below the right-wing Newsmax, which claimed 357,000 average viewers, according to Mediaite.
