Alabama baseball coach Brad Bohannon fired after Ohio halts betting on Alabama games

The University of Alabama announced Thursday that Bohannon would be fired for "violating the standards, duties and responsibilities expected of University employees," according to a statement from Alabama Director of Athletics Greg Byrne. On Monday, Matthew Schuler, the executive director of the Ohio Casino Control Commission, issued an emergency order "prohibiting the acceptance of any wagers on University of Alabama Baseball effective immediately." According to the order, one of the state's "certified independent integrity monitors" notified the state about the wagers involving Friday night's Alabama vs. LSU baseball game. According...
