PHILADELPHIA — Several gallons of a chemical called "liquid ecstasy" and "coma in a bottle" on the street were seized by Customs and Border Protection officers in Philadelphia recently. Officers took six total gallons of gamma butyrolactone after intercepting a shipment from France to Florida Saturday. Gamma butyrolactone is an industrial chemical solvent used to strip paint and rust and a precursor chemical to gamma-hydroxybutyric acid, better known as GHB.
