While firefighters have gained better control of a 257-acre wildfire in Burlington County, forecasters warn that the risk of fire across the state remains high on Wednesday. The wildfire in Washington Township burning off Route 542 and River Road in Washington Township was 65% contained as of about 11 p.m. Tuesday, the state Forest Fire Service said in its most recent update.
