MSP rolls out pilot text-messaging tool to communicate with 911 callers

LANSING — Michigan State Police on Wednesday will roll out a new text-messaging tool to communicate with 911 callers in Eaton County and several other counties. The pilot program involves the Lansing and Marshall posts and will be evaluated after three months, state police said Tuesday in a news release.
