Southwest Airlines flights grounded at Nashville airport and across the U.S.

If you have a flight out of Nashville International Airport on Southwest, double check your itenterary.

The Federal Aviation Administration Tuesday morning announced that Southwest Airlines requested a pause on all departures.

"Please contact Southwest Airlines for more information," the FAA tweeted.

Southwest has not yet released any statements about why they called for the pause.

Currently, there are about 100 Southwest flights scheduled for departure from Nashville. Most of them show they're delayed. To check your flight status visit flynashville.com/flights.
