Hamline U. President Miller to retire after Islamophobia controversy

Hamline University announced Monday that President Fayneese Miller will retire after the 2023-24 school year. Miller has been president since 2015. Hamline’s full-time faculty in January urged Miller to resign over her administration’s handling of a Muslim student’s complaint about the use of ancient art depicting the Prophet Muhammad in an art history class.
