DeSantis Calls Trump Indictment ‘Un-American’; Says Florida Won’t Assist in an Extradition Request

Florida will not cooperate in any extradition request for former President Donald Trump, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said on Thursday evening, calling his indictment on criminal charges “un-American.”
“The weaponization of the legal system to advance a political agenda turns the rule of law on its head,” DeSantis tweeted after news broke of the indictment against the former president, a resident of Florida.
