Boy charged with attempted murder of Denver police officer

Denver prosecutors have charged a 15-year-old boy with two counts of attempted murder of a police officer following a struggle and shooting last week northeast of downtown. The boy faces additional charges, including having a prohibited large capacity magazine, possessing a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct, discharge of a firearm, handgun possession by a juvenile, and obstructing a police officer, Denver District Attorney officials announced Wednesday morning.
