Chandler police: Man on the loose after shooting ex, stealing Mustang

Police are seeking a man they say shot his former girlfriend Monday morning during an altercation before he fled in a stolen Mustang, prompting a brief lockdown of nearby schools. Alan Hunter Burgener, 40, is wanted in connection to the incident and is considered armed and dangerous, Chandler Police said. Around 2 p.m. Tuesday, police said they were working an incident near the area of Ray Road and Dobson as part of their investigation from the day before.
