Portland’s most famous drag queen has been honored with an unauthorized street renaming outside the club where she performed for more than half a century. For 24 hours, at least, Northwest Davis Street has been renamed Northwest Darcelle XV Street. Walter W. Cole Sr, who became legendary as the drag queen Darcelle XV at the club Darcelle XV Showplace, died Thursday at age 92.
