CLEARWATER, FL — Longtime face of the Phillies franchise and starting first baseman Rhys Hoskins has torn his ACL, the team announced Thursday night, likely ending his season.
The Phillies did not provide a timeline for Hoskins to return to action, but injuries of this nature typically take the better of a year to recover from.
“The recommended surgery is an ACL reconstruction,” the team said a statement. “Additional details regarding the surgery, including the date and surgeon, are to be determined.”
