42-year-old man killed in overnight shooting in western Birmingham

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Kenneth Earl Harris Jr. He was 42. Authorities said Harris was shot at 9:15 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of Buffalo Street. He was taken to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 1:54 a.m. Birmingham police said more information on the deadly shooting will be released later today.
