Detained Palestinian leg amputee shackled to Israeli hospital bed to prevent escape

Israel Police have kept a Palestinian prisoner shackled by his leg to a bed at Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem for fear he will flee, although his other leg has been amputated. The physicians at the hospital asked the police officers to remove the restraint from the suspect’s leg due to his difficult medical condition, but their request was rejected.
