A March 15 preliminary exam was set Friday for a man accused of threatening Jews in state government, with Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel saying she was among those targeted. Jack Eugene Carpenter III of Tipton agreed during a brief detention hearing in U.S. District Court in Detroit to remain in custody.
