Georgia Grand Jury Says ‘Perjury May Have Been Committed’ in Trump Election Probe

A judge on Thursday released parts of a special grand-jury report saying unidentified witnesses may have lied to jurors investigating former President Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia.

“A majority of the Grand Jury believes that perjury may have been committed by one or more witnesses testifying before it,” one excerpt of a report written by the jurors and released by the judge said. “The grand jury recommends that the District Attorney seek appropriate indictments for such crimes where the evidence is compelling.”
