Indiana Senate passes mental health reform bill
The Indiana State Senate voted unanimously on Monday in favor of a bill that would implement a statewide mental health crisis response system. Senate Bill 1 was authored by Senator Michael Crider, R-Greenfield. The bill would require Indiana Family and Social Services Administration’s Division of Mental Health and Addiction to establish and maintain a toll-free mental health crisis hotline that can provide support to Indiana residents in crisis and connect them with emergency mental health services.
