Two charged with murdering 17-year-old Indiana girl in 1975
DNA evidence and the witness testimony connecting two Northern Indiana men with the 1975 drowning death of 17-year-old Laurel Jean Mitchell led to the pair being arrested and charged with her murder Monday. Fred Bandy Jr., 67, of Goshen, and John Wayne Lehman 67, of Auburn, were each charged with one count of murder.
