Uvalde school district suspends all police department operations
The Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District suspended its entire police department’s operations and placed two top administrators on paid leave Friday morning.
The district’s superintendent, Hal Harrell, in a memo to staff, said the school board would discuss his retirement in closed session when it meets Monday, with no set timeline.
