U.S. Confirms Raid Against ISIS in Syria Near Syrian, Russian Frontlines

The U.S. military has confirmed to Newsweek that it has conducted a raid in northeast Syria near front lines held by the country's government and Russia.
"Last night, CENTCOM forces conducted a raid in northeast Syria targeting a senior ISIS official," U.S. Central Command spokesperson Army Colonel Joe Buccino said in a statement shared with Newsweek. "We will release more information once we are able to confirm operational details."
