DC Mayor Requests National Guard Deploy To Address The Border Crisis Coming To The Nation’s Capital

Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser requested the deployment of the city’s National Guard troops to address the influx of migrants bused from Texas and Arizona.

“We’ve had a number of discussions, we’ve facilitated FEMA’s involvement with a million dollar grant that has now been increased to work with a lead nonprofit agency.
