Texas educators say immigrant children aren’t as much of a worry as state funding

Texas’ school leaders say the state’s focus should be on providing a strong education for all students — unauthorized immigrants included.
Chiseling away at state funding for immigrants would hamper the state’s economy, undercut communities and do irreparable harm to those whom educators are bound to help, they said.
