U.S. employers added 850,000 jobs in June, and the nation’s unemployment rate ticked up to 5.9 percent, according to data released Friday by the Labor Department. Meanwhile, average hourly pay for workers rose 3.6 percent from a year earlier, to $30.40 from $29.35.
