Would a New Gun Control Bill Create a National Registry?

In a viral tweet, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene claimed that H.R. 8—the Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2021—“would create a national gun registry” and that H.R. 1446—the Enhanced Background Checks Act of 2021—“would create a nationwide ‘waiting period’” after the purchase of a firearm.
