17 House GOP freshman write letter to Biden hoping to 'rise above the partisan fray'

A group of 17 freshman House Republicans wrote a letter to President-elect Joe Biden on Wednesday, the day of his inauguration, in hopes of bridging the partisan divide in the aftermath of tensions that bubbled to an attack on the U.S. Capitol building two weeks ago.

"After two impeachments, lengthy inter-branch investigations, and, most recently, the horrific attack on our nation’s capital, it is clear that the partisan divide between Democrats and Republicans does not serve a single American," the letter said.
