Trump Says He Told Aides To Stop Negotiating Stimulus Until After Election
President Trump on Tuesday claimed he instructed his representatives to stop negotiating another stimulus deal until after the November election, blasting Democrats’ proposal as too expensive and calling on the senate to focus on confirming his Supreme Court nominee.
Trump said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s $2.2 trillion proposal – which he incorrectly claimed costs $2.4 trillion – would “bailout poorly run, high crime, Democrat States” and include expenditures that are “in no way related to COVID-19.”
