Schumer Calls For Trump’s ‘Subservient’ HHS Secretary Azar To Resign

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) on Tuesday called for the resignation of Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Alex Azar, following reports that Trump-appointed officials at the department have altered Covid-19 reports from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other instances of political interference since the start of the pandemic in March.
Azar has allowed the CDC "to become subservient to the president's daily whims," Schumer said on the Senate floor on Tuesday.
