Hurricane Dorian is heading toward Florida. Here's what you need to know

Hurricane Dorian was recently upgraded from a Category 2 hurricane (winds between 96 and 110 mph) to a Category 4 (winds between 130 and 156 mph).

According to the National Hurricane Center, at this level of hurricane strength, "well-built framed homes can sustain severe damage with loss of most of the roof structure and/or some exterior walls.
