Democratic states sue Trump for gutting signature Obama emissions rule for coal plants

A host of Democratic attorneys general from across the country sued the Trump administration Tuesday for gutting President Barack Obama’s signature plan for reducing coal plants emissions to combat climate change.

Attorney General Letitia James of New York led a coalition of 22 states and seven local governments filing the lawsuit in the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals.
