Trump urges House Republicans to back U.S. government spending deal

Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives should vote for a two-year deal to fund the federal government and extend the nation’s borrowing authority, President Donald Trump said on Thursday before a vote on the agreement.
The agreement, forged on Monday between Trump and U.S. congressional leaders, would avert a feared government default later this year but add to rising budget deficits.
