Julian Assange, WikiLeaks founder, faces US hacking conspiracy charge

After seven years of self-imposed exile, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange was arrested inside the embassy of Ecuador in London on Thursday on charges of conspiring to hack government computers.

Prosecutors called it the largest compromise of classified information in U.S. history.

Assange, 47, was arrested by authorities in the United Kingdom to be extradited to the United States.
