Mitch McConnell ad: Alison Lundergan Grimes broke promise

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell will go on TV Tuesday with a tough new attack ad that highlights Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes’ commitment to serve her full, four-year term as Kentucky secretary of State.
The commercial, shared first with POLITICO, shows footage of Grimes saying “yes” when asked in 2011 during a Courier-Journal editorial board interview if she’ll serve all four years if elected. “That’s the term, yes,” she says. (If elected to the Senate, Grimes would leave her post after three years.)
